Origins

Animal Nutrition Academy was established as an independent educational publishing initiative to preserve and share practical knowledge in animal nutrition. Its growing collection of technical publications created the need for a permanent home where this material could be organized, preserved, and made freely available for long-term professional reference.

Mission

The Academy’s mission is to preserve and share practical knowledge in animal nutrition through independent publishing designed for long-term professional use. Emphasis is placed on clarity, technical accuracy, and commercial relevance.

The Academy

Animal Nutrition Academy publishes Feeds & Feeding and maintains its permanent home and archive, providing practicing animal nutrition and health professionals with access to current issues and the growing collection.

Feeds & Feeding

Established in 2025, Feeds & Feeding is the flagship publication of the Animal Nutrition Academy. Each issue draws on nutritional science and commercial experience to examine a specific topic, with emphasis on applied nutrition and practical decision-making under commercial conditions. Issues are organized by volume and issue number for long-term reference and retrieval.

The official edition of each Feeds & Feeding issue is published as a downloadable PDF document.

The Editor

Animal Nutrition Academy was founded by Ioannis Mavromichalis, MSc, PhD, a commercial animal nutritionist with more than twenty-five years of international experience in commercial animal nutrition. Educated in the United States, he has been professionally active across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. He has worked with all major livestock species and has written thousands of technical and industry articles throughout his career. His work draws on scientific knowledge and commercial experience to develop practical guidance for animal production systems.

Animal Nutrition Academy operates independently, and editorial responsibility for Feeds & Feeding rests with the editor.
